right here we go !

after a wee while of not getting used the battery went flat so after much cursing and two hours jump starting it from my audi the car coughs back to life ! yay !!

except the auto headlights arent working anymore ? have to do them manually and all the dash lights are extremely dim .. to the point i cant see my speed at night !! not cool !

 

anyone know how to remedy this ?

go and get your battery checked as it dosent sound like its 100 per cent. Also have you tried turning the dashlights up

2 buttons on the instument cluster one resets trip to zero other one brightens and dims the dash lights. just keep it pushed in with the lights on and youl see it brighten. probaly be better to do it in the dark

cheers mate ! actually stumbled across this earlier trying to set my clock and date !! so tick the dash lights off the to do list !

 

still cant get the auto lights to work ! and now that my dash lights are working the time flashing away at me is doing my head in lol !

 

btw can you guess i never got a manual for this car ?!

 

to be fair this is the first real trouble with the car in the 4 and a half years !

From memory put key in ignition.

 

Turn to accessories position. Press and hold button on the end of LHS stalk for 5 seconds or until you hear a ding sound.

 

Auto lights on. Same to turn them off. If this does not work let me know and I will consult Manuel.

To set the time and date etc etc push the left hand button it the center display(above the stereo with ignition on) and set with the right hand button
