Phlash Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 Hi all, I'm about to top up my C8 diesel additive tank and clean the FAP, however I don't have access to the Lexia software required to reset the ECU counters, would anyone in my area (Suffolk/Ipswich) be able to help with this? Thanks in advance,Phil. Quote

techbod Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 late but worth an answer, a mate fitted a part from an old turbo he rang me from coastlines place a while back and it was successful perhaps he will remember because I think he either bought a car from him and went up there to see him ( it was a pug though ) but still the same engine Quote
dadbif Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 I thought the ECU was linked to the filler flap/odometer, so that it came on whether or not the tank was filled, so filling the tank with the correct fluid or with diesel would not stop the light coming on, 'tis just a citroen rip off to get you to go to the dealer for a 10 second ecu reset. There must be a way of resetting it yourself?? Quote
techbod Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 very late answer but still worthy, the light will stay on until you get it reset with proper diagnostics and no way round it ( ripoff is the word ) Quote
dadbif Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 will any of the Memoscan equipment enable one to reset the ecu when the warning comes up? Quote
techbod Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 unfortunately no unless you go for a specific diagnostic tool like airbag/ABS breaks/emissions, memoscan do them but the price has to taken into account and not cheap. most handheld diagnostic tools only do the engine and tranny and the emissions system has its own ECM but if the fault puts the engine warning light on memoscan will turn it off ( 2001- and 2004- for diesel.
