C5 Back Drivers Side Door Wont Open

Hi all for some reason the back door on the drivers side wont open, any suggestions. The nightmare i got is cause the child lock is on so i cant even open it from the inside ?? Be great if someone can tell me what to do here.

There are some posts on this forum on doors not opening since it appears to be a common problem, a search should find then. One easy check is trying to lock the doors with the key fob whilst one of the doors is left open - the central locking should then unlock all the doors.

I had this problem on my 53 plate VTR HDi estate, it opened after i had somebody push gently from the inside while i pulled from the outside, took the child locks off as soon as it opened just in case it was this that had been part of the problem.

 

I had a go at the locking with doors/boot open etc but it didn't seem to work. As soon as it opened i gave the door lock area a good spray with wd40 and put a bit of machine oil in the working to lube it all up.
