Guest Peter07 Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Oct 2005 2.2 C5 VTR HD estate 43,000 miles Can anyone tell me the coolant capacity? Believe it or not it isn't anywhere in the handbook or service info. (This is an unanswered query from an earlier topic.) Peter Quote
mlkey Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Not entirely sure, but the 2.0L HDI is about 10 litres, so would think the 2.2 will be at least that, perhaps a little more. Quote
paul.h Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 The RTA French manual for the mark 1 2.2 hdi gives a coolant capacity of 10.7 litres - the same as the 2.0 hdi. The mark 2 2.2 hdi is not covered in any of the manuals - Haynes or RTA. The RTA manual for the mark 2 2.0 hdi gives capacity as 10.7 litres without additional heater (chauffage) and 11.7 litres with additional heater (not quite sure what this means). For the 1.6 litre hdi the same capacities are given as 6.5 and 7.5 litres. The additional heater was an option in rear of vehicle, hence the "chauffage", as the standard arrangement means the back has what ever the front is set too. The extra unit allows for independant settings. Quote
