old'uns Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 after swapping wheels around, on d/s front there is a coating of fluid which seems to have come from a small rubber pipe (which was detached) that runs from lower upright into a steel pipe near top & behind covers.i'm assuming its not pressurised as no clamps to be seen, push fit? is it some sort of return/overflow pipe ? suspension raises & lowers normally, car drives ok, further work needed? DaveHerns Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 I'd put the pipe back on with a clip / wire tie if possible and top up the LDS fluid I believe these pipes are cut a bit short and it's probably having the suspension on full height that's made it come off Quote
coastline taxis Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Get about 5 inches of bog standard brake pipe and push it into the rubber tube about a inch and a half at either end and that will be the end of the problem. The rubber pipe just isnt long enought and snaps. Adding the brake pipe puts in right and seals up perfect Quote
