DaveHerns Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Is there any known weakness in C5 driveshafts possibly caused by having to extend when the suspension is on full lift ? Is the outer Cv joint available separately from the shaft , ,if so ,where from ? Quote
coastline taxis Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 never come across any faults with driveshaft other than when people replace the outer cv joint (Which is available seperate £50ish) they find the circlip a bit tricky and leave it off causing complications later on when removinng a hub. The shaft sits into the inner cv joint which has a recess of some 2 or 3 inches which allows the shaft to slide in and out when cornering Quote
