Tom Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 My 03 C3 is having issues with the rear washer jets. It started by firing off straight behind the car when triggered instead of at the window. In my attempts to fix that its now decided to fire wiper fluid inside the boot :) So..... can anyone tell me how I go about accessing the jet and possibly also how I replace it. Any helps much appreciated. Quote
iannez Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 open the tailgate and look behind the brake light. you will see 2 holes. inside are 2 clips holding the brake light in. press the clips in with a screwdriver and the light pops out and gives you access to the washer jet. the pipe has probably come off. Tom Posted June 15, 2010 Author Posted June 15, 2010 Thanks for that. I've taken the light out. The pipe was still attached to the nozzle but the nozzle seemed to be away from the housing. I've now reseated that but I'm back to the original problem where the washer just fires fluid out away from the car (its reaching about 3metres or more behind the car). Any ideas what would be causing that? I don't remember the rear jet being that powerful before. Quote
paul.h Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Maybe the hole in the jet needs cleaning with a pin. I do not know about this one, but on many the direction of the jets can be adjusted by putting a pin in the hole and moving/levering the pin. Quote
Guest Amylou Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 I'm having the same problem with my new c3, the rear washer jet is just giving the car behind a good soak and not even touching mine, I've had a look to see if I can adjust the jet with a pin but I can't see the hole that I would normally put the pin in, any ideas would be great. Many thanks! Quote
paul.h Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Easiest way to find the hole, get a second person to help, one on the stalk to start the jet and the other watching where the water comes out. It should be from the rear high level stop light. Quote
