Guest Balázs Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Hello Everybody!I have a Mk 2 Citroen C5 (similar to this: http://www.carforums.net/reviews/makes/pictures/Citroen07.jpg ) and I'd like to ask about mounting an external GPS antenna. The model I own doesn't have the original Citroen type navi built in, so I bought a PDA with a navi software. Because of the athermic windscreen, I decided to install an external GPS antenna as well. I'd like to ask that where should I get its cable in the car? I just don't know how to get it through the firewall! Did anyone else do this? Thank you in advance! P.s.: Another question. I got the radio unit out, thinking that I could get the cable past there. The radio has two tuners, and beside the two cables of the antennas, there is another cable with a green plug. Could this be a factory-mounted GPS antenna? Thank you again, and I'm waiting for your reply! Balázs Quote

The antena wire will go behind the glove box towards the door the pull the door weather seal off put the cacle through it and replace door seal ( never ever ever do this with a live wire) or along the inner sill guards and under back seat into the boot and out onto the roof that way Quote

Guest digitalinkjetman Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 There are two patches either side of the rear view mirror that are clear of the metal film. These are there for motorway tags etc, you can see it clearly because it has the black dots on it. I have mounted my GPS antenna here and it works fine. Quote
