Injection Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Hi! I'm new here... For a couple of months I will get my driving license and I'm going to drive my mother's Citroen C3 Exclusive Black, 6 year old (2003 or 2004). I'm adicted to music and I'm interested in audio and electronic things. My question to you is; which audio is in my C3? I know it has a Clarion CD radio with steer controls and in-dash display and I think it has a support for a CD changer (which my car hasn't). And I know it has an TDA IC inside with 4 x 11 W power. It has 6 speakers; 2 front, 2 tweeters and 2 rear speakers. Which speakers are inside? Brand? Power? I think that in front door are speakers somewhere about 16 cm. Somebody has seen them? Picture? I'm really interested what is inside :) In conclusion; it has a really good sound with high quality and solid bass but sometimes I hear rear doors resonating. If it has a CD changer support, can I get an adapter with an audio input to connect my MP3 player or a USB player for connecting USB sticks or external HDD's? For now I have an FM transmitter but sound quality is low. And I'm not planing to upgrade my sistem. Sorry on my bad English and thank you! Quote
Injection Posted July 6, 2010 Author Posted July 6, 2010 Anybody? Amazing, on the whole internet it's impossible to find anything about C3 audio... Even more amazing is that there are lots of C3... Or is possible that C3 drivers usually don't care about music :)) ? Joke... Can you, at least, suggest me where I can ask? Quote
paul.h Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 You could try the same post on the I.C.E. discussion page on this forum.Despite your joke, you may be right. I put the radio on but mainly for traffic alerts and the news in case of road problems ahead and tend not to listen to music or just have it as a quiet background noise. With the roads being so busy I have enough trouble trying to concentrate on the driving. As a result, I do not know much about the radio except it works ok. Quote
Injection Posted July 14, 2010 Author Posted July 14, 2010 Thank you. I'll listen to music every time I sit in the car. But stock radio doesn't support MP3 CDs... I have about 50 GB of music in my computer. I can burn on a single CD up to 20 tracks but this is small... I should have thousands of CDs. But with an USB input, I could connect external HDD with thousands of tracks. In my little town there are no busy roads (maybe a little in summer) but my friends and I often are driving on macadam roads and there is nobody, only we. Then we turn the volume on maximum and enjoy  My friend has a C3 too but he bought with basic equipment (while mine is Exclusive black with all equipment) so he didn't get a stereo with car. He bought a Lobox car stereo with USB player. I will try to ask on this section. Quote
