Hello everyone, I have been a member since 2008 but have been unable to post until now (some things are worth waiting for). I have a 51 reg c5 v6 exclusive se. My main problem is my central display colour screen, everything works on it ,but yesterday the screen glass has taken on the appearance of something heavily coated in nicotine (a really brownish yellow) I have tried all the colour settings but nothing works. Does anyone know how I can get the screen out safely?. My second fault is very weird, for the first 18 monthe my fuel flap has always closed flush with the bodywork, in the last few months it doesn't anymore, it sits about 8mm proud. If I take the fuel locking cap off then it shuts as it should, replact it and the cap is actually touching the flap!! It looks as if the neck of the tank has grown (which of course it hasn't) I am stumped by that one. Any advice would be gratefully received, many thanks, Brian.

Do not know about the display but has your fuel tank moved sideways - I would look underneath to see if its fastenings are ok.

Thank you Paul for your quick reply, at the moment arthritis is limiting my movements, but as soon as possible I will check that out. Regards, Brian.

If your display sits on top of the dash in the middle like my c5 exclusive se 02 then all you do is pull the plastic surround up away from the display take care of the wire that goes to the LED then just undo the 4 screws and unplug the connector form the display I have had my out and to bits many times why it would change colour I haven't a clue hope this helps

Thanks for that Longdead, does the surround just pull up or are there lugs which locate it in place? I ask that as I dont want to start levering at the surround as it looks such a close fit that I may be in danger of leaving marks around the joint.I'll report back when I've had a go, thanks again, Brian.

Quick update. The tank mountings were checked today and found to be in their original position, so still baffled by that one, I haven't been able to remove the colour display yet as my hands are us at the minute, occasionally the display will flash on and off for a few seconds (a bit like a flourescent light with a faulty starter) then return to its natural colour but only for a second or two and then reverts to the old yellow colour, thanks for all your suggestions. Brian.
