Guest Jaxman Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 can anyone tell me what this is for, it is located to the right hand side of the exhaust manifold (as you stand in front of the car), and is a little rod with a plastic cup assembly that clips on to a brass ball opening some kind of inlet or outlet. My plastic cup has broken and keeps comming off the ball im wondering if this will damage the running of the car and how much and how easy they are to replace Quote
paul.h Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Welcome to the forum. If you go to the Problems and fixes pages, there is a post by phil.d under anti pollution/esp/asr fault that covers this. It is a part Citroen call a diaphragm which controls the swirl chamber - like a throttle plate for each inlet. The part is about £19 and fitted £60 has been mentioned. Quote
