Cooling Fan

Hi

 

Can anyone give me some advice please? I've just bought a 2005 Citroen C5 Estate.

 

On three occasions now, when I have turned the engine off, the fan keeps running on.

 

Last night it stayed on for a good ten minutes before switching off. And it was really loud too.

 

I've checked the water and thats fine and the temperature gauge is normal.

 

Any ideas folks????

This could be normal, had you been in slow moving traffic before stopping so the engine was hot ? On most cars the fan can run when the engine is switched off if it is hot.
