Hi

I have a 51 plate c5 Hdi and was wondering, as I think I saw it somewhere that depending on what speed you are at, depends on what setting the suspension is

ie the faster you go the lower the suspension. Is this correct ?

Thanks

Yes - as far as I know the nose drops slightly more than the rear when you reach a certain speed - 67 rings a bell - but I can't say I've noticed it.

Thanks

that might explain why when driving at around 60-65mph my average mpg is about 45mpg, yet when I sit at around 70mph it stays the same. weird but true

Only if your car has H3+, so mostly Exclusive models.

At 110 km/h or over, the car lowers the front end 16mm and the rear 11mm IIRC, if the surface is smooth enough.

This improves stability, and I assume it does this by creating more down-force.

This is why I find that just below 110 km/h is a sweet spot for good fuel economy, as the extra down-force will also create more drag.
