Rapid Flashing Of Indicators & Clutch Slip?

Morning All

Just took delivery of a Berlingo XTR HDI (90). It’s 2 year sold and is in fantastic condition – full service history and one owner, I am really made up with it!

I just have a couple of simple queries for you, so I can understand a little more before I start ringing up dealers!

I notice when pressing the lock button on the remote for a third time (after the deadlocks have been engaged) the hazard lights flash rapidly for about 5 seconds. There is no further mechanical noise/movement, just the lights. I was wondering what this was? The user manual has no further reference to this after the deadlocks are engaged, so I’m hoping it’s not a fault.

Also, I noticed this morning that whilst in 5th gear doing approximately 45mph – upon flooring the accelerator, the revs jump up slightly as if a small amount of clutch has been engaged to help with the acceleration. The revs then return to normal as the car pulls away. The bite on the clutch is quite high anyway, so am wondering if it’s slipping or if it’s a feature of the vehicle?

Many thanks for any advice,

Maz

'when pressing the lock button on the remote for a third time (after the deadlocks have been engaged) the hazard lights flash rapidly for about 5 seconds' - I think most cars do this so nothing to worry about - helps confirm the car is locked at any time and also so you know it has received the signal from the remote, although this may not be the official reason.
