Guest plcman Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Hi Hope somebody can help. I bought a 2006 Citroen dispatch 815 D 18 months ago and it has been excellent until just before Christmas. Everything looks and drives normal before the temperature gauge drops to sub zero rapidly. The STOP light flashes and then the Red light on the temperature gauge comes on and the temperature gauge goes fullscale in the red. After a few seconds the temperature gauge goes subzero again, and so it goes on. I have plenty oil and water, I have changed the thermostat, there is no sign of excessively hot engine, no smell or steam etc. Could it possibly be a temperature sensor fault? Thanks for any help on this Quote
paul.h Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Before replacing the sensor, make sure there are no leaks and that all the air has been bled out- these were the causes of similar problems recently reported on a C5 and a Saxo. Also check the wiring and connectors. Quote
