Guest Dradis Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Was wondering if anyone is experiencing the same issue I am having with my C4 SX Auto 1.6i 16V. I just recently purchased this and am mainly doing town driving. The book says I should be getting about 29MPG but the dash is reporting 24MPG! For a town car, this seems lame as my old tank of a Freelander was actually better? Any ideas or similar experiences??? Quote
iannez Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Might be a good idea to have the engine and gearbox auto adaptives reset at a dealer as they will heve set themselves to suit the previous owner Quote
paul.h Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 If interested in the mpg/distance travelled for a particular journey I will reset the trip computer by holding in the button on the end of the wiper stalk, although I guess you have done this and are not just seeing the previous owner's mpg. Also note that at the miles equivalent of 10k km (about 6700 miles) the trip computer does not go any higher and has to be reset anyway with the button. Quote
Guest Carl Mac Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Ive had my new C4 1.6i Auto for less than a week, and im seriously unimpressed with the MPG I was getting more MPG from my 1.8i BMW Also the glove box handle came off in my hand the first time I used it. The car is 3 years old. My BMW was over 20 years old and every switch, button, handle etc was as good as when it was new. Im going to see the dealer I bought the car from tomorrow, He tells me I have 2 weeks no obligation to keep the car. Im gonna spend some time on here reading before I decide. Carl Quote
paul.h Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Also look on the C4owners.org forum, you will find many more postings than on this site. Quote
