If the pipe is on the supply to the steering then it may be under pressure and need a proper crimped type of fitting between the hose and pipe, but if on the return side after the steering then the pressure will probably be low enough for something like a jubilee clip. I have read that Citroen specialist Pleiades can repair the pipes for about £60 since Citroen no longer supply the parts.1 point
