Database fixed and software updated to a newer version.. the next step is not so pleasant,, I will now need to convert the database to a different version and then attempt an upgrade to the very latest version of the software. This type of update has worked on one of my sites but not the other so it is a 50/50 chance of the final update working, obviously I will do this on development area first.

I am looking to update the forum software over the next couple of days as I notice the databases are having a bit of an indexing issue. I will repair the tables,, carry out a backup and then update the website, When the actual update is taking place I would expect downtime to be no more than an hour. I will also be adding cloud flair protection and Content Distribution, this should help improve speed and deter unwanted visitors. Cheers

Due to problems with other sites on the server I have moved all the sites to a new server, hopefully this will not have caused too much downtime and the sites should be running normal soon. you may have to log out and back in to update the read topics vs unread. Cheers

Not asked on this site for a long time so sorry here we go A good friend of mine and his wife are going to do the Snowden walk for cancer research as cancer is very close to their life as I am sure it is to most of us. Having someone taken from you and at an early age can be devastating and motivate you to do something to help, So here we go their target is only £200 and I would like to help smash that target if all of the sites, this and the sister sites can gain a total contribution of £600 I will also do it, (I will do it anyway) difference being is I will do it in fancy dress and post lots of pictures for your amusement. Post you take a closer look pictures in here see if we can spot the issue or what makes this picture so diffent. For starters

On some of the C5 models you can temporarily disable the factory fitted sensors by pulling the fuse however this may also disable things like your AC depending on the year would depend on the fuse and its shared counterpart

For a PUK code you would normally have to call your network provider of the sim, I do not know with mobile on a car though but my first port of call would be to phone customer services of the sim provider. Others mor knowledgable than me will be around soon I am sure BTW Welcome to the forums

I am now banning any IPs that are known for spam I am also going to ban all the subnet IPs below it in cetain cases, I have just blocked a whole ISP in china and one in india, I will continue to do this until the forum is free from spam

To save hundreds of reports please just post the spammer name in this post and we will bulk delete and ban, if it still becomes a problem i will look at administrator approval of new members If you see a name is already posted there is no need to post it again, we will delete the post as the spammer has been iradicated.

OK I see we have a spam issue and something needs to be done -- my bad I am going through major things in real life, mid life divorce and the usual stuff So her is some solutions, I have banned quite a lot of extensions and domains from registering plus a load of IP addresses, the downside is I have also banned Gmail.com New Volunteer positions I have upgraded kfk to 2nd admin, if he OK with that as the report centre takes too long to manage, he now if accepting the position will be able to bulk delete members posts I have added paul.h as a moderator as he seems to be on a lot and very helpful and I have had a few PMs addressing the spam I have added these permissions premature as I did not go through the usual recruitment process :P oopps my bad If the positions are accepted then they represent me and the site and what they say is final without contest A few other volunteers would be good as we cannot all be good at everything so if interested please post here Sorry about my absents but real life does come before everything else
