  1. Here are the figures, look on hdi tuning post for links to websites etc. It costs in the region of £360 to get the work done. Ive been trying to contact Celtc tuning, they were good at the start but now no reply, wondering if they are on hols. As far as I am aware you dont need any uprated engine parts. Its a straight laptop plug in, change the ecu parameters ( all within design limitations) to the new set up and off you go! I know wozza said try angeltuning but they want me to remove the ecu and send it to scotland, not keen! Will keep trying, I will get it done within the next couple of months and let you all know the outcome. Citroen C4 2.0 petrol VTS Standard bhp 180 upto 192ish petrol not as easy to do a remap on for big power hikes, dont know why Citroen C4 2.0 HDI standard (bhp) 136 upto 180 standard torque (Nm) 320 upto 430 Citroen C4 1.6 HDI (euro III) standard (bhp) 110 upto 136 standard torque (Nm) 240 upto 290 NEW - Citroen C4 1.6 HDI (euro IV) standard (bhp) 90 up to 115 standard torque (Nm) 215 up to 270 Sammy
  2. That is close to being a pornographic C4. Love the wheels on the black coupe, looks fantastic! Really really jealous!
  3. I know on my HD5 player that when I change it to line out I normally only plug in a 3.5mm stereo jack but as soon as I cahnge over and plug in my in line remote control it automatically switches back to headphone level. Even if i plug my headphones straight in it hasnt blown them up although I recomend trying this with an old pair to be on the safeside! Sammy
  4. I have the previous sony mp3 player, an HD5 and in the options area it has a setting called output where you can change it from headphone to line out. Line out gives a significantly higher output volume. See if there is anything in the settings on your A1000. Good luck Sammy
  5. I have the same thing on my hdi vts, I have always assumed it to be the traction control/esp system catching the wheel due to the high torque the car has. Think its a brake calliper snatching the wheel then releasing, bit like an abs sound!
  6. Whats the link for the premade mp3 player attachment wozza? Interested to see what it looks like before I start drilling holes in my trays! Sorry to hear about you car, think your Dad owes you one!
  7. Good work! Like the idea of running the cable to the drawer, getting my cable next week sometime so will have ago with my sony HD5, square and small so may need some tweaking!
  8. I'm starting to see a few more round here (croydon, south london) but havent seen another silver vts yet, was up in the lake district over easter and saw LOADS around there. Think northerns might have better eye for design! - or a bargain!
  9. Nothing beats elbow grease! Try an old toothbrush and some decent car wash shampoo, got to let the dirt soak for a bit, dry wetting them with a big sponge then scrub, scrub, scrub! I had sureguard sprayed on my car when new and the foam alloy wheel cleaner works a treat, speak to your dealer they might have some.
  10. yeah celtic do a free 14 day refund like angel. Just emailed angeltuning for a quote, looks like a carbon air filter might boost it up to 190bhp. Not sure if adding new filters is a good idea, bit obvious you have changed something on the car then and dont particularly want my garage to know!
  11. I've been messing around on an excel spreadsheet, found a company called www.celtictuning.co.uk, quoted me £360 to come to my place for an ecu remap to 138 - 180bhp and 236 - 308lb/ft. Maths seems to say that it should make the car do 62mph in 8.6 secs rather than 9.7 and will do 1000m in 29.6 rather than 30.9 seconds. Obviously its not the 0 - 62 that counts, its in gear drivability and with a 24% increase in performance that should make a difference. Spoke to Dad expecting me to stop being silly and keep the waranty safe, instead he said go for it, you only live once. Plus I want to make my C4 quicker than his Honda Civic 2.2cdti that he is getting in sept (boy that things goes, he was bouncing off the rev limiter the whole test drive with a big grin on his face!!!)
  12. I have just spoken to my local dealer and also Citroen Uk, they say that any modification at all both physical and software will invalidate the warranty if the parts that go wrong can be traced back to the remapped ECU. Asked about whether they would recommend a remapping company in future (aka vauxhall astra has optional upgraded ECU apparently) they said no. So big risk, got knowledge that engines are pretty bullet proof these days, also know if they go wrong its big bucks. Fun = money!!! Think I will mull it over when Im driving down to somerset at the weekend from London.
  13. Hi, Ive got a silver 05 C4 VTS, with the spoiler naturally, and was messing around on the net and found this! Now how about the power of the petrol VTS with the torque of a train! Love it. Got to find out a bit more on cost etc but looks like a £500 job, just got to speak to my dealer/ modifyier about the warranty first though. Anyone tried tweaking yet?
