Hi My C4 is due for its first (12500) service. My previous car was a 307 and there is a local Peugeot dealer who I took it to. I called them to see if they can service my C4, even though they are Peugeot dealers. They said they can do it okay, as long as its a standard service which it is. It would end up with Peugeot filters/parts though, does this matter with my warranty? I just wouldn't want my Citroen dealer to take the hump with this. BTW The Citroen dealer is a bit more expensive for the service. What do you think? Thanks for the help.

I tested mine by locking with the remote even though a door or the boot isn't closed, the alarm will still arm itself after a while. Then just open a door or whatever. The alarm works with the bonnet too. If you open the bonnet and then lock the car with the remote, the alarm doesn't sound but if you press down a little button inside the bonnet lid (one which the bonnet pushes in when it closes), and let go then the alarm goes off.

I bought mine at six months old and it has the security pack. Alarm works okay and is very loud (cos I had to test it!). I think all windows are laminated except the rear window, for safety reasons if you're in an accident. Can anyone confirm this?

Cool! Yes the drumming is very good on ..and justice for all :lol: I play the drums in a band myself, but the stuff we play is not just as heavy as Metallica. We play some Snow Patrol, Killers, U2, maybe a bit of Guns n Roses :) . A few years ago you would have found us playing Creeping Death by Metallica. :blink:

Mine has the JBL and plays mp3's okay, but it doesn't have a mp3 logo at the cd slot :blink: Have I been cheated out of the logo? :lol:

Have many people said to you that if they are following the C4 Coupe at night their headlights reflect back at them from the rear window, puts them off following you too closely. :lol: Another thing I thought of, when other people close my boot they always slam it for some reason. Seems to be really heavy or something. Bugs the hell outta me! :blink:

Mine is pretty much like that too, but it probably isn't the speakers, just the door panels being rattly.

Wozza, it shouldn't matter if you have the rears on too, the fronts are still on. I would have thought that it would give a fuller sound if all were on. I see in the handbook it says to leave the settings at zero all round and the eq off for optimal sound. Doesn't say much about the jbl system in general though.

The normal head unit doesn't have nearly that many settings! But I usually wouldn't put my bass higher than zero, too much bass!!

If you fade it to the front speakers, does the sub still work? I would love to know more about this jbl setup! Wonder if anyone could post the sound settings that give the optimum sound quality.

Well the amp is under the driver's seat, isn't it? Has anyone taken a proper look at it yet? Wonder does it say jbl on it?

Got the turbo pressure sensor changed a few weeks ago, seemed to be sorted, but now the same problem has returned!! Have to go back in again. :angry:

I phoned the dealer and told him I had the jbl system and told him about the buzz in the doors. Here's his reply "Basically you will have to upgrade your speakers, they probably can't handle the power!!" wtf? They are gonna take a look at it anyway, I have to go to them with a Depollution System Faulty error anyway.

Hi, my jbl system causes rattles and vibrations in both doors, mostly the left one. Doesn't happen if its kept at a low volume, but at any half decent volume, ie 7 or 8, the vibrations start. Does anyone know how i stop this? Any help greatly appreciated. :angry: Cheers

Main beam and dipped beam are separate bulbs, so main beams should be still okay when you change dipped bulbs

The xenons sound cool. I'll be interested in how you get on soon. Would love to do that too, but don't think i'd be able to, without wrecking the car!

For anyone with the digital air con, do you just leave it on auto all the time, or would you keep the air con off for fuel-saving reasons for example. I do a bit of both.

Hope it wasn't mucky boots or something from the boot!
