  1. To be honest, the rattles aren't too often, only if you turn it up loud. Boy will it go loud! I am actually very happy with mine, and use the mp3 playing feature. Apparently it has nine speakers and subwoofer, don't know where the nine speakers are, maybe someone's telling porkies.
  2. The doors on the Coupe are just too big! (Sometimes) The other day it was really bad weather, gale force winds and all. The wife opened the door to get out and the wind just caught it and opened it out fully with more force than I would have liked. :( Needless to say I wasn't happy. Door didn't physically get damaged, luckily, but didn't seem to be closing exactly right. Seemed to be hitting the top of the latch and making a clang sound. Leaning on the door and trying to pull it down a bit seems to have fixed it though. I think its ok now. Just be extra careful with your coupe doors!
  3. Good forum for your brother to check out: www.civinfo.com Not as good as this forum (obviously)
  4. Went into my dealer to get it checked on the computer, light wasn't on at the time. Took them two hours to diagnose it! It did show up as a turbo pressure sensor at fault though, so they are ordering the new sensor as we speak (type). Hopefully thats it sorted
  5. I have the jbl and I love it, but it seems to cause some vibrations in the doors etc with the bass. Or is that just on mine?!
  6. Check out my link further back in this thread. esp=abs+tcs
  7. When driving along at the weekend the car bleeped and a warning "Depollution System Faulty" came up, along with a yellow warning lamp. Later on that day when I started the car again it was back to normal. Yesterday it happened again, was also on all morning on my way to work, but I went out a few minutes ago, started the car and all is well again. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks
  8. Someone I work with has a 2.0 hdi 307 136bhp, he was going around a roundabout so hard that his esp wasn't just flashing but stayed on solid! :P
  9. Agreed, still have to drive with the sensible head on. Good to have such a feature though. Had a look at this website http://www.bosch-esperience.co.uk/uk/langu...age1/index.html Gives a bit of useful info

    Esp

My 1.6 HDi VTR+ has the esp system, although it doesn't seem to have to get called into action very often. I have the car about two weeks and hadn't seen the esp light coming on at all yet, so I floored it this morning at a junction deliberately trying to make it skid, it was skidding and the esp light did flash. So it must be working correctly anyway ;) (Although it still spun the wheels) Maybe if I had the 2.0 HDi engine I would see it happening more often! Slippery roads in winter should bring it on more!
  11. Don't think you need to worry too much about the aircon, seems fine on my VTR+. Wouldn't think its a problem that affects everyone. Hopefully it stays that way. :D Great car btw, definitely go for it, alive with technology, big time.
  12. Ah I see. Cheers. Its not really such a hi-tech feature, funny it's only on the top model. Thanks
  13. No, the VTR doesnt have heated wing mirrors. (Unless i have been really stupid and not found the button.) If Fairy Liquid and/or soap doesnt work, can i upgrade, do you think? Could be right, but on the 307 the mirrors heated when you turned on the rear window demister
  14. I have a VTR+, is it true that the VTS has heated door mirrors, but VTR+ or below doesn't? Seems strange that, with all the features the car has, it wouldn't have heated mirrors. My 307 S had heated mirrors and was a far lower spec otherwise.
  15. Looks like I started quite a discussion! Hmmmm, I think it probably doesn't have sensors and is prob like what Ciaran2903 said. The drivers seat wouldn't need a sensor because there will always be someone in that seat when it is moving! :)
  16. I'm just a curious type of person. :) Yeah, just wondering how it all works really..... Was thinkin it was really sophisticated at first with sensors and all, then thought the warnings just work when a belt has been fastened and then is taken off. Basically, when someone is in those seats and don't put a belt on, does it not warn them? Seems to just warn if a belt has been taken off..... Hmmm, i'm making this sound really complicated! ;)
  17. Got the car and it has the jbl, I am well happy with it. I don't think the standard system would be anywhere near as good. :)
  18. If someone gets into my C4 and doesn't put their passenger (or rear) belt on, when the warning lights go out, as normal, nothing beeps to warn them. But if they put the belt on and then take it off, it will beep. Therefore i take it there aren't any sensors in the seats to detect the presence of someone, and that the lights are just to inform the driver at the start of a journey of who has their belt on. Does anyone know any more about this? Cheers
  19. Just wondering if many of you have the JBL option on your C4. What do you think of it, and is the head unit much different than the standard one or just the amp/speakers etc? Cheers B

    Jbl

Hi, awaiting my C4 complete with jbl and security pack, can't wait! BTW, Have many people got the JBL system? Is it much better than the standard system? It says that it's not compatible with the bluetooth option, just wondering would a third party (Parrot 3200 LS) bluetooth kit work with this system? Thanks, B
