There is a new recall 'MLL' for the 3.0 HDi C6 and C5, 153 cars in total are affected. Full details (with the relevant Vins) are on the recall list page: HERE

I bought a pristine Iron Grey Sept 2007 C6 lignage 2.7 V6 HDi auto with 1 years full Citroen warranty and 9,380 miles on the clock for £14,400 Because of the security features (won 2009 Executive Car class in the British Insurance Industry awards) Insurance is cheaper than a C4 for me!!!!!!! They are real bargains now.

Make sure that you only use plastic dust caps, not metal as they are the major cause of corrosion and valve failure
-
I know it's a while since you posted but did the eventually change the fuse box?
-
There is a new re call 'MBW' for those with the 2.7 V6 HDi engine - details: http://c6owners.org/plugins/faq/faq.php?0.cat.3.209 Basically the vacum hose issue again
-
It's a common problem well documented over at c4owners.org with a 'how to' submitted over a year ago http://c4owners.org/plugins/faq/faq.php?0.cat.2.100 £42 could have been saved as it's an easy DIY fix

The site hasn't gone and is very much alive - there was an attack on the server and the host moved it so it was down for a short time We now have upwards of 5,600 members from around the world :)
-
Try again as we had a few problems which have hopefully been resolved now If you still can't get on send me an e mail with a username you want and I'll set an account up manually

If you say it's 'slipping' but not getting any worse then I read somewhere that a 'faulty sensor' can can the impression of a slipping clutch Now I don't know what sensor, or even if it's possible, but from experience once a clutch starts slipping it only ever gets worse and then fails totally which yours doesn't seem to be doing?

I'm old, but not so crinkly and have an Arctic Steel Hatch  But went for the 1.6HDi and had it remapped just to p**s the young coupe drivers off when they tried to pass me

Citroen have just launched a huge ABS recall on the C4 Hatch and Coupe (which also affects a lot of other cars from the Peugeot Citroen Group) Basically it means removing the ABS/ESP ECU and checking for water ingress You can find full details here http://www.c4owners.org/plugins/forum/foru...topic.php?20574 and here http://www.c4owners.org/plugins/content/co....php?content.10

Have to say after 3 years and 69,700 miles mine sailed through an MOT and the only thing I have had to replace (apart from tyres etc.) were the front discs which wore out at around 50,000 miles. The rear brakes, shockers etal are all original and mine was an early car built late 2004 and I have no complaints over quality (apart from the very easily breakable glovebox handle)

All you do is 'nip' the 2 extended lugs at the connector together (where the blade attaches to the arm) and push down away from the arm, slide it forward and it's out. Very Very easy Reverse to fit a new one in less that 5 seconds

I want to clarify the position on this it uses the dedicated CD changer socket, not the auxilliary I actually have installed one and the USB BOX 9702.EZ plugs into the CD Multichanger socket on the back of the RD4 / RT4 head unit found in some Peugeots as well as the C2 C3 C4 and C4 Picasso which it also fits If you have a CD multichanger already installed all you have to do is unplug it and plug the new USB BOX in - it's as simple as that If you don't have a multichanger then it requires the CD changer enabling via a dealer The USB box appears on the display as 'CD4' and with an iPod pluged in you can control all the functions from the steering wheel like volume, skip forward, mute etc. Track display/names is from the radio buttons (or that's what I have found so far but not really had time to play around with it) Unlike the simple cable that goes into the Aux socket and enabled on AUX 1 the USB box has no issue with volume and charges an iPod when connected It will also work if you have navidrive fitted but won't display on the colour screen and should allow you to retain bluetooth as it uses the dedicated CD changer socket, not the auxilliary I will add more detail to the ongoing forum thread c4owners.org but the installation guide / instruction books are in the download section 9702.EZ User Guide Installation guide (Citroen) is in downloads Technical Info section and my own guide is in the Quick Facts section as a 9072.EZ personal fitting guide

205/50 17 W are standard spec on C4 110 HDi VTR+ and higher so as others have said go with the VTR+ door plate sticker 2.5 Bar Front 2.2 Bar Rear or 2.5 Bar Front 2.7 Bar rear fully laden

Only the top of the range VTS/Exclusive have brake indicators as far as I know - every other model , well you have to check them visually. I got 43,000 miles from my front brake pads and 57,000 from the disks There is a Faq on measuring disk wear here C4 Front Disk Wear Measurements and a 'How To' on changing front pads and disks here C4 Front Brake pad and disk replacement At 64,000 the rear pads and disks are still original BTW

Saw 1 Hatch and 3 Coupes in Northern Corfu last week + 1 C4GP with German plates - obviously someone else on holiday like us :) BTW it appears that the C4 is quite a hit amongst Motobility Drivers and quite a few of them are past retirement age. Actually had a meeting with one yesterday - a pale blue Coupe driver
-
The £7.50 item has gone off sale as well - there only a bargain if you can aactually buy them :) Funny thing is the new listing for the same blades doesn't cover the C4 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PEUGEOT-207-407-MERC...1QQcmdZViewItem

I was in a dealers service area and 'overheard' the service manager telling a customer that Citroen UK had told him that the noisy tappets on his 1.6 petrol were down to the oil viscosity and they were going to drain the engine and re-fill it with a different grade of oil under warranty and there was a 'bulletin' out on it Get your dealer to check is the answer as they can be overlooked
-
Theres a standard parts price but over at c4owners.co.uk we have a deal with a Citroen Dealer to give discounts to Premier Members However the savings on 'Parts' are not as great as 'Accessories' due to Citroen's wacky pricing structure. Like everything else the more you buy the bigger the discounts that are available as a dealer and sometimes dealers can buy parts from other dealers in Europe cheaper than they can get them from Citroen - mad or what B) Saying that I got a good deal on a set of Disks and Pads which I'm going to fit shortly BTW when I jammed my glovebox I forced it and broke it and had to pay £74 for the privildge of having it replaced as they declined it under warranty

Mines (1.6 HDi VTR+) at 55,000 and still quiet, with zero rattles and feels like it could go on forever - luck of the draw I suppose Good luck with the new job BTW
-
on a 1.6 or 2.0 HDi you can expect +35bhp from an Angel re map but more importantly a far more flexible engine BTW a re map made no difference to my insurance (just renewed in May) but there again I'm not 18 years old
-
You boys get around don't you - same as the rest of us ;)
-
The option is only available on the VTR+ VTS + Exclusive if Leather is fitted so it won't affect a high percentage of cars My wife ran Volvo S40's for a while with leather and the heated seats always worked fine - I had a Vectra with Leather & Heated seats as a company car and that was 3 years old with 60,000+ on the clock when it went back with no problems so I have to think it's fairly unusual for one to fail

Have to agree with the rest of the guys rich - put the warp power button on and the screen clears fairly rapidly Maybe a problem with the air flow divertor behind the dash - mine failed last week and sent hot air to the drivers side no matter what I did It can fail the opposite way
