    Driver's Door

:( Rich I hope you weren't buying petrol!
  2. No problem with my dealer, Dutton Forshaw Maidstone! I appreciate iannez and kfk's input.

  4. I must admit a seven year warranty is impressive!
  5. Link They can't be serious!
  6. He did ask!
  7. This was supplied by kfk in an earlier posting on this "basically.....as simple as possible....... fuel tanks nowadays are sealed and not allowed to vent to atmosphere.....hydrocarbons being bad for the atmosphere etc..........so how do they allow the tank to vent and get rid of the hydrocarbons (vapour)? They fit a charcoal canister under the wing and a pipe runs from the fuel tank to the canister......the canister then has a pipe that connects to the inlet manifold. At a predetermined time the canister valve will open and close....the speed of its opening and closing is determined by many factors. when it opens it vents the hydrocarbons into the inlet manifold where they can be burnt.....the clickng noise you here is the valve opening and closing, it sounds like a single tappet loose."
  8. I had this, the dealer confirmed what kfk said, not a fault, but did take it out to look at it, they said they didn't do anything to it, but on the way home I noticed it had gone, never to return. That was 9 months but not many miles ago. Mine was there all the time, never disappeared, but you could only notice it really when stationary. Other than that super quiet!

    Power Mod

I wasn't thinking of buying one, more than happy with my cars performance (I'm getting on a bit) just interested if they work.

    Tyres

No next week I do believe they are conducting a test on which type of air to inflate your tyres, as the wrong type could prove damaging. <_<

I've pressure washed my wheels for years without any problems. I hope!

  16. I was only going by the brochure, it's listed as an option only on the VTR+ and as standard on the VTS and Exclusive.
  17. The security pack (alarm & laminated glass) is standard on the VTS / Exclusive and an option on the VTR+, I don't think it is available on lower spec models.
  18. I know that's not you wanted to hear, just showing you how they work. It's pointless pre-empting the outcome, it's just a case of wait and see and hope for the best. I'm sure all on the forum hope it turns out ok and there was no film.
  19. This link gives some information http://www.kentandmedwaysafetycameras.org....ras_page02.html for my area Kent, but I presume they all work on the same principle. Good luck!
  20. Yes, I think I'll get a new pump this week. My old tyre pressure gauge gives a reading of 29 & 26. I don't think they can be that low, they don't look it, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.
  21. Thanks John, I'll go for that as mine are the Pilot Exalto's
  22. Hi, Can anybody confirm the tyre pressures for for Hatchback with a light load. On my door it says 2.5 bar front & 2.2 bar back, I've converted this to 36lbs sq in & 32lbs sq in, which to me seems high, at present they are 29 & 26. Any confirmation appreciated. Keith

    Vtr+ Owners...

No gripes about the quality of the finish on my VTR+, especially for the price. Both my door mirrors move, although they are firm.
  24. This is a quote from another forum I belong to. "The 'customer care' from the local dealer is the worst I have EVER experienced. Stuck up snotty nosed people who just don't give a ****. So thanks LR for giving me a car which has put me into so much debt I nearly lost my house ,and I'm not kidding. My one wish in the world is that LR go the same way as Rover ,and then they can't do anyone any harm again." Could all car dealerships be the same, not just Citroen, once you've bought the car they don't give a t*ss.
  25. I get an audible warning if I don't buckle up, but my passenger doesn't, only a visual one, they only get an audible if they unbuckle and don't buckle up again. Perhaps kfk could enlighten us?
