Citreon C5 2.2 Wont Start When After 1St Start
THOMASROBLOT replied to paul61's topic in Problems and Fixes - C5
Yeap I agree completely with coastline taxi when a HDI don't start when the engine is hot, it is often a leak problem on one injector. The best is to put of hose on each and turn one the starter ( when the engine is break down), you will see which one has the more leak. Sometime it isn't easy to find the dead one...... here a picture, where the man use some water bottle to match the leaks. good luck -
on these car we had some leaks on the oil pan. if it is that just have just to screw it by
-
you just have to change the odometer motor on the dashboard it is pretty easy you just have to be calm. http://www.kit-compteur.com/index.php?id=7&no_cache=1

you have been very lucky because generally the diode on alternator breakdown( do have use correctly the word break down?) but did you check the tension from it? be careful the light on the dashboard goes on after a very long trip if the alternator don't work. so check it.... it mus be above 13,7V at 2500rpm. by

And does your central locking working?
-
It is sur that your problem are not connected. Except for the roof and the boot. The twice work together. Try an other time to close the roof completely and to push 30second on it.
-
Hi Does your roof goes back on the boot? Had you tried to push on the switch during several second?

here are the pictures 4hp20bis.tiff 4HP20.tiff

Hi with the 6 cylinders engine ES9J4S you have the 4HP20 on your caron this range of gearbox is not very easy to check the oil levelYou have to put the gearbox oil to 60 C° and unscrew the screw of the level plug ( it is a french translation.....)the oil needed is parts number 9730ACIf your gearbox does some strange things, like you said.the first thing to do is to initialize the gearbox calculator, because on these gearbox it is a auto acclimated calculator. I leave some pictures to show the screw where to fill the oil and the screw where to check the level. good luck

Can't Getr Good Help From Citroen Downunder.
THOMASROBLOT replied to pdjones's topic in General Discussion and Nonsense
i I am very sorry to hear that you didn't find enough help in australia to solve your problem. Normally all the citroen garage have the same software to help us to find the right parts and other things like some update GPS. But perhaps it is more complicated in some country, the data are mainly provided by navtech, so it could be problem from us. Here (france) for navidrive GPS it possible to find one update featured with the POI like speed cameras..... But I agree with your dealer, it isn't possible to download the update due to several reason, firstly it is a big update so it could take a long time to obtain it by internet And secondly, Citroen advise to install the files in a garage, because you have to erase the HHD in order to put the new update. It is not very complicated, but I broke down one system , and after ii is very hard to find a solution ( how pay what....) For your bluetooth problem I didn't really understand. Did you installe a second bluetooth system, or it is the RT5 navidrive how don't work. Currently the RT5 is bluetooth, but we sometime we have some problem to paired the phoned. I hope you will find a solution in your country, if you need more information you can contact me. -

hello c4 is a great car the only thing you have to check is the leak on the injector on this engine 1,6HDI the leaks are very damageable for the turbo but be careful, the leak aren't like you could think. It is not diesel leaks but it is exhaust air leak. sometime there is no noise but only some strange black feature around the injectors. If there are leaks, the exhaust air get a to the top engine and burn the oil. With this oil burn the oil pump become sealed and due to it the turbo died. So check it

I agree that if your filler cap hasn't his magnet, it will put out of order your particul filter because he can't put some EOLYSE in your tank, and the clean up of your FAP don't goes like it must, and it will be seal. But I wont give you the P0400 or P0402 This default come after a problem on the air flow. So your air flow meter can be HS Or your EGR can stay open longer than it must, if it is that you have to change the elecrovannes 1628LQ. I have changed many many 1628LQ...... But check your airflow meter first, it is very commun that is some water goes in the air filter box I hope I was enough clear in my explanation by

Hi If you want stop your erg system you dont need a plate like this. You just have to unpluged or seal the plastic hose on it. But the pollution system will see it, and turn on the light on your dashboard. So dont do it this motor.
-
HI these pics have been taken from a C5 these parts are close to the head of the left suspension, there is a plastic corver on it your pictures is about a electrovanne egr normaly you must find 3 vannes, one blue (EGR), one grey (TURBO), one black (EGR switcher) the best is to change all of them, but you can check them with a vacuum meter

if you are really sure that your maxi fuse is OK,you have to check if the electricity goes on the pump so check the wire on connector. one 12V and one Ground but the maxi fuse is not easy to find, so I am not sure you checked the right one. that maxi fuse are an average of one inch! they are really big but If you take a picture we will see. have a great day

hello yes you are right it is the synchro it is a pretty complicated fix to do, and you have to change the clutch at the same time ( it is better) Your problem will become more and more big if you drive like that.

on the C5 2001 it is special because the screen is a passive display, so when there were some problems, generally we had to check the display computer . it is up behind the glove compartment, there you will find 2 calculators, one for the navigation and the other for the display. but like said coastline taxi, there is also some diode problem in certain screen. and the big problem to fix it, is the price, because each parts are very expensive..... good luck
