Hi guys, Since this morning all of a sudden my boot stopped working. I can hear the clicking sound when pressing the button but boot is not opening. I have managed to open it from inside and sprayed some WD40 but still it is same. has anyone got any idea what could be the wrong with it? thank you.

Thanks paul.h. please find the attached picture and look at the black part what i already marked. are those parts somewhere here as some post said I have to look at the left side of the engine as i open the bonnet. Thank you.
-
No luck yet to find those parts. I took a picture of my engine but can't figure out how to upload here.
-
Still i couldn't figure out where those parts are. do i have to take the black part (on the left side of the engine as i open the bonnet, which is connected with two hoses on the front) out to get to those parts?

I checked service.citroen site and couldn't find anywhere Manifold Pressure Sensor's location.

thanks for your response..could you please give me the diagrams where this parts are located under the bonnet.

Just a quick question paul.h is it DIYable to change the Turbo Vacuum Boost Solenoid Valve for my car. I got a very basic tools. and also I have deleted the fault codes but P1351 seems to appear every time I ran the diagnostic. do i really need to pay any attention for it , could it be related with P0238? Thank you.

Thanks paul.h. could you please give me a link where i can find all the parts name under the bonnet. like as you said to check the turbo.

Hi paul.h, I bought an OBD tools today and found two codes in my car. 1st one is P0238 and 2nd one is P1351. I think because of these faults I am keep getting Depollution system faulty message. Could you please tell me what could be the potential problem with my C4 VTR+ hatchback 1.6HDi 55reg and what will happen if i ignore them? Depollution system faulty error message keeps coming up and also goes away itself.
-
Does anyone here drives C4 hatchback 1.6hdi 55reg. I just need to know if the symbol of Depollution system faulty error pops up in the dash what could it be related with? I know i need a code reader to pull up the code to see. but my point is, i am guessing this error pops up when DPF is getting blocked and needs regeneration. I remember i ran the diagnostic test once and it said regeneration needed, regeneration process not completed. The symbol goes away after a while by the way. So what I am trying to say is if it needs regeneration the symbol should pop up Regeneration symbol, isn't it? But in my car what appears on the dash is Depollution symbol only. Like the picture below (Sorry couldn't find an option of image attaching) I want to know whether everybody is getting the same symbol or different for this specific car. thank you.

Hi, My experience might help you. I bought CONNECT2 CTVPGX0102 just few days ago to fit in my RD4 stereo system (C4 Hb 55reg). Its the best solution to enable Citroen and Peugeot car to have AUX in according to the seller from ebay. However the sound out put was horrendous. You have to put the top (mark 30 in my car) volume to listen your ipod or your phone. So I am in process to return the item but good thing is since then my AUX in option has been activated. when i press the source button i can see Radio, CD and also Input 1 (AUX in). I am thinking to give a try with another cable (ebay item name: Citroen C4 AUX lead, Citroen RD4 car stereo AUX in cable iPod iPhone Android) but i need to find the review whether they are any good or not. If anyone used it plz let us know how good they are.
-
Hi Giys plz reply me someone. I have tried with Connect2 CTVPG011 adapter and it works, but sound is berly hearable unless you put the volume in top. Would AUX LEAD be any better? that lead doesn't require any adapter.it has got connector in one end which wwill be connected to the rear of the RD4 and other end is 3.5mm jack to use with any devices..

Can anyone tell me if DPF blocking can cause more fuel. My C4 is really consuming too much fuel. its almost like 20mpg on average. My DPF warning sign certainly comes on dashboard when I go to motorway and it goes away after few days. so I am guessing Diesel Particulates are building in the filter and a very little are cleared off followed by a dpf sign in the dash. I did a lot of research and it seems the car should regenarates itaelf while driving 15mnts in gear 3 for 40 mph. its never happening.. So what would be my best action against this dpf..to get a professional to clean it. or change it with an after market one (seen one on ebay for £130), or live with it as this error is not causing any problem except fuel consumption. -
Hi guys, My original Citroen C4 remote Key fob case has been worn out. It's very hard to get the button work now. Does anyone know if I buy the key fob case from ebay (3 BUTTON FLIP LIGHT REMOTE KEY FOB CASE FOR CITROEN C4 C5 C6 C8 Refurbishment UK) would it be possible for DIY to change the Shell. The key comes with the Fob shell case is making me confuse. Do I need to get it cut from the locksmith or I can just replace it from the original case. Another thing is if i buy one from ebay i cant see the citroen logo on the fob case. so wondering if my original fob case logo is transferable. Could anyone guide me plz.

Thanks Johndouglas and paul.h for the advice...yes everybody should know about the consequences of DPF removal and also save our environment from being polluted.

Hi, I have exactly same car as you just mine is registered on 2006,plate is 55 though. anyway, I am quite happy with the performance of the car but sometimes Depollution system error sign pops up in the dash and goes away in due course of time without hampering the performance. I have spoken with some mechanic and done some research and the permanent solution is to remove the dpf and remap it. You have done the same, but is it not illegal doing so in the UK and in case my insurance company discovers it will i be not in trouble?

What Light Bulbs Are These And Are These Diyable To Replace?
arak81 posted a topic in C4 - Technical
My front right side (driver side) flashing indicator lights appear to be whitish compare to the left side bulbs when they do flash after depressing the locking, unlocking button. I think I need to change them. Does anyone know if these are two bulbs or just single, what bulbs are these, are these easy to replace or not? my car is Citroen c4 hatchback 1.6hdi 2006. thank you. -

I am back to my topic again. i have figured out how accurately mpg can be calculated. I have filled out the tank to the full (when the pump stop releasing fuel automatically) and drove to Cambridge and cam back to London. i put my trip metre to Zero before setting out the journey. So once i came back to London it was 151 Miles. So i have filled the tank to the full from the same petrol pump and it was exactly 17.1 litres. So if i calculate, mpg is only 40. it is disappointing..because the car has had its full service last week and the journey i made was all motorway. -
Have had my fuel cap sensor replaced and checked by the genuine diagnostic tool with professional..no more fault code was found. Oh, the rear passenger side's shock absorber seems to be faulty. I have seen the trace of oil leak and also some rust on it. I got the part today. hopefully tomorrow i will get it replaced. I love the car hence doesn't want to leave with any problem in it and once everything is sorted i will take very good care of it.

Hi Paul.h I have had my servicing done (changing oil,oil filter, fuel filter, air filter) and after that I took the car to motorway and drove around 90 miles. i even rose the speed to 90mph without any slowing down (which i had problem when depollution system error sign was on the dash few days ago, just 86mph and car went slowed down to stop). even the depollution error message didn't show up (which previously used to shows up without fail if i would go to motor way). so I came back to garage and run test, and P2408 error code was still there. I thought may be it will be gone if I change the diesel fuel filter. anyway, spoke to citroen and got the right part number which is 1503T2 and price is around £43. I have found it cheaper here though http://www.eurocarcare.net/fuel-management/ecc1503t2-sensor-fuel-tank-cap.html could you confirm me if this the right part which bringing this fault code and what happen if i don't change it? your quick reply will be appreciated. thank you.
