Arg....any solution then..may be better filter which will not be blocked too frequently...

Problem has come back again..as i was driving on motorway today depollution warning light poped up..as soon as i have seen it I put highest boost possible like 65mpg for 3rd gear and 50mpg in 2nd gear around 40mnts..it should have Clearwater d away by now..but still it is there. Guys is there any permanent solution for DPF, Like if i get rid off this filter what will happen? and basically i do drive around my boroug and occasionally go to motorway with my little family for long drive.

I have it..but it should be adjusted according to the load in the car..otherwise in '0' setting without any load in the car should be focused correctly and that's what I am talking about..its not focusing correctly.

Does anyone know how to adjust headlight beam focus under the bonnet? my headlight's beam falls on the 30feet front car's number plate and a bit up while I am alone in the car rather than falling on the road..is it normal or need adjusting.

Problem has been sorted guys. I bought another window switch panel (2nd hand from breakeryard by £54) and it works for child lock and serve my purpose..but still my rear passenger side windows gives me trouble..it doesn't respond sometime. even this problem was exist with my previous window switch panel. I don't know what could cause this issue..oh by the way, the quality of the switches in citroen c4 if damn poor. the switch is sticky and feels like the rubber/plastic will come off when I was trying to clean it. still it feels sticky.

I think my regeneration has been successful as i didn't see that error on the dash this morning. for the precaution i have used Wynn's DPF cleaner before filling the tank to the full this morning..and i will also keep this in habit to drive in 2nd gear in high speed during local/city driving.

I think so..i have been driving this car for high speed at as low gear as three since last 2hours.but still depollution error not going...is there any other way around to fix it..like cleaning liquid as an example Forté Diesel Particulate Filter Cleaner or some other thing from eurocarparts shop Called wayne. I spoke with the garage and the guy said it will take him 4hrs to remove it and again 4hours to put it bac which will cost a fortune.

I have been driving in third gear for 60mph ..and also 4th gear for 70mph for the last one hour, but still this error is not going..it seems they are quite hard to be cleared..any tips guys..is there any fluid i can buy which can help to clear it up with less effort.

Depollution system is back again guys...can anyone tell me why does it come and what should i do?

My last car was Kia Picanto..petrol 1.1 and i used to get almost 50+ mpg for combined driving. yea, i am still driving around the london...anyway,i will keep eyes on the bar and will update you when next bar goes off.

whatever it is..but still very unacceptable. today another one bar has gone (total 5bars gone out of 12bars) and odometer reading is 202.. very unhappy with the bullshit diesel economical car. thanks to Johndouglas for the tips though.

Problem has been sorted out guys. I think admin should make it sticky note.. its very unusual and not a lot of people will know about this weird problem even not the mechanic unless they came across or did some research in google. anyway, Ashtray bulb, Cigar Light bulb and Headlamp adjuster are all connected to same circuit. if these two bulbs (Ashtray and Cigar light) or even sometime one bulb gone off headlamp adjuster will be disabled. it wont work until the bulb is replaced...how weird!!!!

My calculation was very simple and accurate. I have 12 bars and tank capacity is 60ltrs..so each bar represents 5litters. I filled the tank to the top when last two bars were flashing..according to the manual last 2bars flashing mean i have 7litters fuel left in the tank..so i started fillin the tank and its automatically cut off when 53 litters have been poured. 2bars were gone in 1st day after driving 79miles and another two second day after driving 67miles.

I drove around 146 miles since i filled the tank to the full and my top 4 bars is gone.I spoke to Citroen about dpf fluid top up and they said its not unusual to require DPF fluid topped up in cars 61000miles.

No...i tried to switch engine off and on again..but not working any more.. I have been searching in google and found similar problem with Peugeot car..and someone suggested that ashtray lamp replace will sort the problem but in our C4 there is no ashtray lamp...My cigarette light port lamp is also not working...so i guess it could be related with this.

Today when i was adjusting the level of headlight according to passengers weight all of a sudden it has stopped working. there is no more light for ESP, headlight adjuster and also cigarette lighter hole. so i guess fuse is blown..does anyone know what could be the problem or which fuse does it relate to. i have manual, but couldn't find any fuse relating this.

I bought this diesel car (C4 1.6HDi 2006) hopping that it will be very economical and there is a rumour in the market that diesel car is economical. However after driving in the city for last couple of days (10 miles radius in London which includes dual carriageway as well) I did the math and I was staggered that i got only 29mpg. is it normal? about a little history of the car- Last Servicing was done in 59,500 and the car is now its 62,500. next servicing is due after 9000miles. DPF fluid has been topped up 4/5 days ago. I have fill up the tank with 60litters of diesel and then used 200ml STP diesel injector. then I did the test and came up with this staggering result. guys please share your experience and also advice me how to get more mpg with this car.

Does anyone know about our C4 Plus car's stereo system measurement. I have found one on ebay which has got everything that i need..but the guy was asking me the measurement of the gap..here is the copy of his mail "This unit is an ISO standard Single DIN (1DIN) unit, which has a Din Size of 178(W)x50(H). In general, this unit can be fitted to most cars. Booked for an Aircon Recharge with Kiwk Fit on this Saturday. hope they will check everything. if they don't i will try to manually check the drain. thanks for the advice though.

My central locks seems work fine. i asked someone to lock the door using central locking button and I tried to open them from outside..none of the door was opening. but they all were opening from inside. all of my doors are of course closed while trying to use master lock button from driverside. as i said that halford guy has managed to enable Child safety using the button by pressing hard and long. but still the windows were opening using their own buttons from the doors. In the manual it says Child safety lock button prohibits movement of the rear electric windows and rear passenger doors.

Could you please tell me the name and measurement of the tool to remove the bolt from the bumper?

it is possible to lock back two doors from being opened from inside with the child safety control button from the driver's door control panel. I took the car to halfword auto centre and the guy pressed hard for little longer and Child safety seemed activated and thenI tried to open back two doors and they were disabled but still the windows were moving. i need to disable the windows too. i could do these from my Kia Picanto 2005 model car. I don't know if anything wrong with my car. in the manual it says doors can be locked so as windows with Child Safety Lock button.

I couldn't figure out whats the wrong. When i press the rear button of the master control panel i can hear the sound of Child safety activation and promptly i hear another sound of child safety deactivation. So I can guess that button is al right as its responding. even all the other buttons for the windows also work. i need somehow my rear driver side door disable from opening inside and also windows movement. I red the manual and it says there should be a lever..it didn't say clearly where the lever is located though...anyway, i checked the door's side where normally other car has the lever to disable the door opening from inside. But couldn't find anything. I am sure that even though car has electric child safety on which is not working at the moment it should have some manual way to disable the door from opening inside too. can anyone here help me please.
