A 1966 Ford Anglia 123e Super saloon (105e shape) Black cherry with Purbeck grey roof and sidestripe

Just got it today, spent about a year looking for a decent example at a reasonable price

Drove it back from Essex - 60 mile trip round the M25, never missed a beat. Had a smile on my face all the way. It's been in the same family from new, and came with the original bill of sale, handbooks etc.

Once I'd got used to driving with no power steering or brake servo it was a total joy to drive - you feel so connected to the road.

And guess what - the instructions to change a sidelight bulb read "remove the 2 screws holding the lens. Remove the lens and replace the bulb" Modern car designers need to go back to school!

Congrats on the purchase of the Anglia, it sounds great. I have a 1993 Audi cabriolet and other than ABS, everything is old scholl and soooooooo easy to work on, I am dreading having to change a headlight bulb on the C5 (it will go to Halfords and pay them £5 for doing it lol).

put some pics on espicaly the engine and dash please

Can't figue out how to upload pictures - it seems to be asking for an internet address? Anyone?

I have to take pics for insurance this week, so will have some available. Just need step by step instructions how to load. Help button is not much help!

In answer to John's qustion, this is a second car, still have the C5, although I've driven to work in the Anglia today.(Monday)

It's in decent condition, the 1200 "Kent" engine revs high, and the car feels quick enough, have to allow plenty of stopping distance with the non-power brakes. They pull up tight and straight though - no spongey feel.

Some oil leaking from the rocker cover, but not enough to drip on the ground - it gets burnt off, and you can smell it. Checked all the levels tonight - oil water brake and clutch fluid. All good.

There is some rot in both front wings, could do with some advice on rapairs.

Interior good. Everything works, heater strong, even the cigarette lighter works. Car is completely original. Have MOT's back to 1985, plus old service bills etc

Looking forward to the show season..

maybe a step by step guide is needed

Join a website such as www.photobucket.com

Login and upload the piccy you want to keep in your album

When it's there right click on the IMG code and left click 'copy' the code.

Go to your forum and in the reply box, paste the IMG code.

Like this:-

I've purposely removed the two outside brackets from the paste to stop the piccy showing

Incidentally, the piccy shows somebody who had their wheels pinched in a service area near Malaga

Doesn't work for me . I have a snapfish account and the URL is in a totally different format. no JPEG

I have to say this is a crazy roundabout way of trying to upload pictures

I've got a Triumph Stag amongst other cars, great on a sunny day when it's going, I'll stick to my C5 at all other times.

It isn't difficult. Yes - the internet address required is your picture stored on Photobucket - or similar site. The process takes much longer to describe than to do. This is it:

Go to http://www.photobucket.com/

Either sign in or join.

Click on Upload Now

If your picture is on your computer, click Computer

Click Select photos and videos

Find the picture on your computer and click save

On Photobucket you'll be told Upload completed

Click save and the page will go to the start of your album with your picture showing.

Inside the box near to where it says IMG Code high light the code and Right Click. Left click for copy

Go back to your forum reply box, right click then left click on paste

Your picture will come up in code looking like this:-

IMG]http://i69.photobuck...Dec-2010041.jpgAdd Reply or Preview Post, it should show.

It sounds complicated - but from start to finish it's only a few minutes.
