DickieG Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 I see Citroen have now released another version of the Berlingo in the UK called the XTR. Its priced £300 cheaper than the Desire, gains aluminium roof bars and rear privacy glass, but loses the CD player, front fogs, Modutop. Its also only available with either version of the 1.6 HDI diesel engines. I haven't seen any photo's of the UK version but IIRC the XTR in elsewhere is a sort of pseudo "Off roader/4x4". Quote
hertsnminds Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 The citroen.com website has details, but they are in French http://www.citroen.com/CWW/fr-FR/RANGE/Pri...fault/X-TR.htm# and if you search the site make sure you put the hyphen in, x-tr, or you don't get many results. The rest of Europe has already reviewed the car... http://www.autoweek.nl/newsdisp.php?cache=no&ID=2598http://www.autoweek.nl/newsdisp.php?cache=no&ID=4038http://www.infomotori.com/a_12_IT_2745_1.htmlhttp://www.autowereld.com/autonieuws/detai...sp?artikel=2708http://www.citroen.be/promotions/descripti...NL.aspx?menu=m2 and these guys can tune the engine for you... http://www.dieseltuninguk.com/47.html IanBlack 55 VTR+ Quote
Terry1100 Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 That could get the "Gibson pound" in March '07 (The dealer would have to throw in a CD player though - I don't mind paying extra for Air but I cna't believe that they could bring a new model to market in this day and age withought CD as standard - I was gobsmacked when I found that the Smart was cassette as standard !) tronboy Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 None of the reviews above, nor the Citroen France description are of the UK model though, but of last year's 2.0HDi Euro model, which gets limited slip diff, leather steering wheel and air-con. I'm not even sure we'll get the limited slip diff. I reckon it'll be more of a Pug Partner "Escapade" competitor with maybe a raised ride height and decals, based on the Forte. No good for me because I'm sure they'll not include the opening roof as an option either. Quote
Terry1100 Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 Citroen UKs website now shows XTR as a trim level for the Berlingo Quote
kfk Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 Only options available are Manual Air con and Pearlescent paint......no sunroof and it wont have limited slip diff Quote
tronboy Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 Then you might as well buy an Olive Green Forte and bling it up yourself!! Quote
vlatko Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 Hi.I`m new on this forum, and I don`t know very good Enlglish.I want to ask what the difference between Berlingo MSP(multispace) and Berlingo X-TR? Quote
tronboy Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 In the UK, the only differences the X-TR has over the M'space Forte are cosmetic: Rear Privacy GlassDifferent (van-style) upholsteryAluminium Roof-Bars In Europe, the differences are major and add: Limited-slip DiffIncreased ride-heightLeather steering wheelAluminium Sump-guardUnderbody armour. Interestingly a commercial X-TR is available in the UK with the technical features of the Euro spec X-TR aimed at farmers, forestry commissions, water companies etc who need limited off road capability without the added expense or weight penalty of a 4x4.
