I Got A Few Problems With My C5 2.2 (02) Estate

bought the car about 3 months ago and its taken a while for me to realise i have a couple of electrical problems

 

1 - only get 3.4v at rear 12v socket , with or without ignition on

 

2 - dash computer works fine except -

 

distance travelled , average fuel consumption , average speed ( all the amounts with small antenna symbol) and 1 more which i think is link to #2, cant get cruise controll to work at all

Does the dash computer reset by holding the button in at the end of the wiper stalk ? If it is like the C4, once that reaches 10000 km (about 6200 miles) it does not go any higher and has to be reset.

Have you ckecked all the fuses regards power outlet not working , cruise control at a guess could be clutch pedal switch (if its manual) or secondary brake pedal switch , good diag equipment would show these values in the data stream sections as on or off states , try to get it to someone with good equipment (peugeot planet , autologic and so on ) better than spending money at random parts.

yes the button does work and ive resert all the values down to 0 , now the only one thats moved is the average speed that now reads 11mph even when im parked , get 0 on both distance travelled & average fuel consumption

 

have had an auto electrician check all fuses (inside glovebox and under bonnet) all ok
