albotek Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Hi All, Anyone have any experience of removing the radio/phone/sat-nav unit from the dash. I have the "U" shaped tools that release the side catches but the unit only slides out about an inch or so. I dont want to yank it just in case I damage anything. Cheers Dave Quote
paul.h Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Never had a C8 but I suspect you will have to keep pulling and try to pull each side evenly so it does not snag at one side. If it catches at one side, push it back in a bit and try again but excessive force will not be needed. Quote
albotek Posted June 8, 2013 Author Posted June 8, 2013 Thanks for taking the time to answer my query Paul. *places lump hammer & crow-bar back in tool box* ;) Dave Quote
PaulLeonard Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Hi guys I know this topic is old but I have just bought a new DAB radio and was wondering if it is easy to remove? I don't have the U shaped removal tools for the job so is there any other way? Paul Quote
paul.h Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 A wire coat hanger can be bent to make 2 U shaped tools. Or use 4 thin screwdrivers, just need something to go in the holes to hold the clips that retain the radio whilst the radio is pulled out. Quote
