All internet forums are constantly under attack by spammers.   This one is no different.   We've certainly had our difficulties in the past; even to the extent of having dozens of spam postings appearing on the forum in any 24 hour period.   So much so that we've probably lost valued members because rubbish postings were not quickly removed.   Now we have more barriers in place.   It's not even possible to enrol from certain countries of the world.

I can't give you an answer as to why you were unable to log on using your previous name.   Even when a member is banned from posting, their name still remains on file.   There just doesn't appear to be any record of your previous name.   So what happened, I'm unable to say, however your very welcome with your new one.
