Lexia Wont Connect To Synergie

Hi tried to connect diagnostic tool to a 1995 2.0 petrol synergie but it wont let me i have the old type plug too.i also tried to find rpo number which i think is painted onto the shock housing.but dont know if it is it.can anyone help.?

On our Citroen cars (oldest 2003), the RPO number is on a sticker on one of the door pillars and also has the tyre pressures and paint code. The VIN (chassis no.) will be on the V5C registration document and on our cars is visible at the bottom of the left side of the windscreen.
