Citroen Relay Rear Light Fault

I have a Citroen relay2.2Hdi L2 2008 both reversing lights do not work and the off side rear light indicator does not operate correctly  and light is dimmer than the near side, I purchased some new rear light units as the bulb boards are very rusty but the electrical connection is different, the old light unit has a square fitting with all the terminals in a straight row, where as the new has more rounded square with two staggered rows on pins, is there an adaptor or conversion connector that I can purchase,

 

Can any one help please!

No adapter or coonversion kit available. You have the newer shape relay  and  youve bought the older shape light that will never fit. reading between the lines it sounds like your original fault was a earth or wrong bulbs probllem. please supply a bit more info

You can get the right light part no using your VIN on the service.citroen website, join as another professional, member of the Citroen Owners Club.

 

As coastline has posted, it does sound as if you could an earth wire fault that needs tracing back to the bodywork - and maybe a raining in problem that has caused the rust. If you have an electrical meter you can check the connector for voltage when the various lights should be lit. There could also be a problem at the gearbox reverse switch (may be located on top of the gearbox).
