billc504 Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 I've an 04 C5 Estate. Tailgate door lock does not open. I've replaced door catch assembly - still same. I can't see any volts using my meter! Any one got a wiring diagram which will show what should happen? Quote
Johndouglas Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Check the wiring in the rubber sheath between the car roof and the tail gate. Quote
billc504 Posted September 15, 2013 Author Posted September 15, 2013 Hi;Wire was broken as stated. Thanks.I have had 2 C5 Estates - an 02 one written off by an errant Land Rover and this 04 replacement - same spec and even colour! It seems Citreon manage to build same faults in. Radio/CD grabbed CD so in 02 I was stuck with Abba now on 04 Enya repeats! Radio tuner also fades after an hour in both. Also shuttle for Windscreen Washer in 02 stuck on Rear - on 04 its stuck on Front! Quote

Not everyone does that.. About the washer pump. Are you saying that whether you switch the front or the back, the water always goes to the front? If so, I would suggest a change of pump. The system uses the same pump for front and back and the pump drives both ways. ECP do them for around a tenner. Unfortunately to fit, it means the bumper needs releasing. Quote
paul.h Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 On the washer pump, if it is running both ways, it may also be a blockage between the pump and the washer jets. So you could first try a pin in the washer jets to remove any dirt before removing the front bumper. Quote

The front washes great but I have never seen any water out of the rear, the dealer told me he had tried a new citroen pump but the fault was still there. is there an easy way to test the stalk ??? Johndouglas Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Can you hear the pump when you switch the rear washer? Quote
