jasrey Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 Hi I was wondering if anyone can help, I have got a Citroen C5 SX 2002 Diesel. Is has a couple of faults coming up on the display, 1 being airbag fault and the other is the common anti pollution fault. I have an idea how to fix these but would like to get a code reader that will work with my model of car. Can anyone suggest one. I have noticed that the cheap eBay and Amazon ones will not read the Diesel cars manufactured before 2004. Any ideas Thanks Jasrey Quote
Johndouglas Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 Citroen dealers use a diagnostic system called Lexia, which costs hundreds of pounds, however it's possible to buy a Chinese cloned copy for around £100. Several are advertised on ebay. To get it to work successfully you also a need a laptop which runs on XP. Quote
jasrey Posted September 17, 2013 Author Posted September 17, 2013 Thank you for this quick response. I will take a look at ebay now I know where to start Quote
paul.h Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 The airbag fault sometimes is a connector under a seat, or a problem with the comms 2000 unit under the steering wheel. The anti pollution fault could be anything so reading the codes is a good start. Which engine is it ? I have moved the post in to a subforum since outside of these they tend to get lost and not be seen and after a few days are not visible. Quote

qman3428 Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 The software can be made to run without XP by using an emulator, free from www.download.com I am running the PSA software on Vista without issues. Quote
