Hi.

Came onto this site last night for abit of advice.

Collected my car today so thought it was time i introduced myself.

Im Laura

Previously drove a fiesta that i spent time/money modifying over the last 4 years.

Started having problems with the car - needed a realiable car due to the amount i drive.

Went into carshop last Saturday and put a deposit down on a

Black 2010 Citroen C3, 23K on clock.. Previously mobility car..

Had a few issues with the carshop but finally collected today..

Since people founnd out i was gettin a Citroen ive not had many good comments, saying it was a mistake changing from Ford.

I cant judge a car until ive owned one and although ive only had it a few hours im falling in love with it..

Was worried about the clutch (biting point) to start with but after a proper drive home today ive adjusted to it..

Hi Laura and welcome to the forum.   Yes - Citroen seem to attract unfavourable comments from the motoring public - most of which probably have never owned a Citroen.   However you'll meet a lot of guys on the forum who recognize a good car when they see one.   Hope you enjoy your new car.

Stick with it Laura! I was introduced to Citroen by my (French) wife in 1982 after looking for a 7 seater. Peugeot 504(?) family estate was sluggish and very disappointing so she said look at the CX Familiale! I did and had great difficulty steering it at first (about 2 turns lock-lock, after 4 1/2 on my 504!) but found it incredible! Only problem was RUST! since then I've had 2 BXs (16TRS and 1.9 diesel) a Xantia and now my beloved face-lift 1.6 HDi C5 VTR, over 8 years old and 95K, 58-60 mpg (more on French Autoroutes) but what do I replace it with? We go to and come back from France with about half a ton of stuff with rear seats folded. The "new" C5 has a boot, not a hatch, and I don't really want an estate, and, unless you buy the Exclusive, you don't get the proper Citroen suspension, so I guess I'll be running it into the ground!

Good Luck.

Thank you, had the car over a week now and although i am still getting used to the size (yes it is taking a while) i am enjoying driving it.

I just ignore peoples opinions now.. im the driver - so if i am happy with the car, so should they :)
