trafficcop1815 Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 I am a new member, and the owner, from new, of a much loved Xantia 2000 HDI Forte Estate. I have had the car from 2000, and she still runs very well. 146000 miles and still the original clutch.I have however a problem in that the tailgate weather seal ( the rubber strip ), appears to have been chewed, and subsequently it is letting in water. I have tried my usual Citroen garages, but apparently Citroen no longer stock this item. Can anyone help please, or advise me as to where I can get the required seal or similar?ThanksTrafficcop. ( no doubt I'll get some ribbing) Quote

Johndouglas Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Hello and welcome to the forum. Bad news that a rubber seal for the Xant isn't now stocked by Citroen dealers. A quick look on ebay shows several rear door seals for some Citroens but not one for a Xantia. Maybe try an online breaker for a half decent one.. Or see if you can make a match from products athttp://www.deltarubber.co.uk/rubber_extrusions.htm?gclid=CMS8kZm0uroCFbLLtAodpGcAVw Quote
trafficcop1815 Posted October 30, 2013 Author Posted October 30, 2013 Hi,Thanks John. I'm waiting to hear from a guy in London, Citroen Parts London, 0208 544 9998, who has helped me in the past with other bits, and says he knows where there is a Xantia estate, that he is acquiring the door rubbers off for another customer, and hopes the tailgate seal will be okay on that one. I will also try deltarubb. Thanks for your input it is much appreciated. trafficcop Quote
paul.h Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 I have moved this in to a subsection since ones outside do not show after a few days. Any replies, please add to the post in the new members forum to avoid duplication. Quote
