tony9196 Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Hi there,I have recently replaced the handbrake cable on my c5 and where the cables connect to the T bar/slider under the console, when I pull the handbrake one of the cables jumps out of the t bar thing. On closer inspection there seem to be a black plastic clip attached inside the t bar which must hold the cable securely, however it looks as though it has snapped in half and won't retain the cable anymore. Anyone have any idea if I can buy this clip or does it come as part of the sliding bar,and the cost if poss and is it a dealer only part? Regards Tony Quote
paul.h Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 What year C5 is it ? On the parts diagrams for the 2001 to 2008 models a plastic part is not shown separate to the T bar and the T bar only comes complete with the handbrake. Quote
Johndouglas Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 If indeed there is a part missing or broken on your handbrake equalizer bar, there's a complete handbrake for sale on ebay. A tenner isn't too much to pay to get the complete lever, then swop the bar. Quote
