Welshfella Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 New member, with a 63 plate C3. Was wondering how many keys are normally supplied with the car. I have one remote and one 'standard' key. Is this normal? I was expecting 2 remotes and 1 'standard' Quote
paul.h Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 Welcome to the forum. 1 remote and 1 key is the norm for Citroen. You could order a second remote, cost around £100, but probably it would never be used. With the key, access to the car is using a door lock and if there is an alarm, it would be turned off as the engine was started. It will say in the handbook somewhere how to lock the other doors when using the key. You may find the remote case wears over time and often a new case can be obtained at low cost from such as ebay and the internals from the old remote are put in the new case (circuit board, immobiliser chip, key blade). I have not yet seen one for a 2010 C3 though. Quote
SealGothenburg Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Bought my C3 2 months ago and also got the same settings of keys you got.1 Remote and one key, i live in Sweden. Quote
Johndouglas Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 That policy can't be standard throughout the range. I collected a new (to me) C5 X7 a few weeks ago and it came with two identical remotes. Quote
