Hey 

i got one problem in my citroen xsara 2001. i turned on the engine and i started cleaning the snow from the car meanwhile my car engine stopped and when i again tried to start the engine, it says engine immobilizer fault. how can i fix it?

it doesnt make any starting sound. i am totally depressed. please can someone help me?

Try the spare key in case it is a key problem. Otherwise it may be a fault with the immobiliser transponder located at the ignition switch. These are only a few pounds from a dealer if it needs replacing.

Even if the transponder was faulty, the engine should still turn over but not start.   If the engine doesn't turn, I would start checking the power to the starter motor.   First the battery terminals.    Then the cables - both the positive and the earth straps.
