luk555 Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Hi, I've recently had the dreaded " dpf fluid too low light" come on. I've refilled it with 2 1/2 litres of eloy fluid( probably would've taken another litre), but can't get the warning light off? Tried using a Bosch diagnostics machine but still can't clear the fault? Was still showing as zero litres Does it need to be reset using a certain procedure or only a lexia??If so are there any kind people around the St Helens merseyside area with one who could help??#Frustrated taxi driver Quote
Johndouglas Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 You're right. After refilling the tank the ECU needs to be told about it. You'll need to contact some one with Lexia. Quote
luk555 Posted January 29, 2014 Author Posted January 29, 2014 Do you know if there is a sensor in the tank or is it just the ecu that needs to be programmed?(2009 tourer) Quote
paul.h Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 I believe the level is not measured but is calculated based on the number of fuel tank fills, hence the car does not know the actual fluid level. So when the fluid is topped up the ecu needs to be told. Quote
luk555 Posted January 29, 2014 Author Posted January 29, 2014 I've read different threads regarding this elsewhere, some say there isn't and others they've had tank, filter and sensor replaced?? There appears to be a cable going into it, is this maybe the pump??It's in at the stealers tomorrow for a leaking rack, so I'll try probing them for an answer, either way I need the light removing,, any idea on how much they charge?? Will chance my arm and see if they'll do it under warranty!! Failing that are there any kind lexia owners near me? Quote
paul.h Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 This is all the procedures give for the 2008 C5 on -CAUTION : In the event of complete refilling of the additive tank, reset the diesel fuel additive ECU counter. So you may find yourself paying for maybe 15 to 30 minutes of diagnostic work. Quote
luk555 Posted January 29, 2014 Author Posted January 29, 2014 Ok will let you know the outcome, Cheers. Quote
