Tell us what the trouble is that you're having. Yours is not the first C5X7 to show signs of fluid leak from the steering rack. A few weeks ago another member found this firm useful in supplying an exchange rack:- http://www.acspowersteering.co.uk

I've also moved your topic to the technical section and deleted your other similar post.

This is from the Common problems pinned post in the C5 Technical section.

25. New C5 (mark 3/X7) steering rack oil leaks - 4 cases so far.

We have 2 members jefflad and Howiec with steering rack leaks that are proving difficult to fix. Where the supply and return pipes join the rack, the seals are leaking fluid. It seems Citroen want to replace the pipes to fix this and that just replacing the O-ring seals does not work. Citroen also do not sell the seals separately. An additional 2 members, Parkesie and johnfing, have found a leak from the steering column shaft input seal on top of the steering rack, which initially was thought to be the pipe seals. This seal also is not available so replacement racks have been fitted. The column shaft has badly rusted so may be the cause of the leak - applying grease could possibly prevent this. Hi if it is your rack input seal like mine was finding a used rack is hard i couldnt find one anyway. The recon rack i got from acs power steering was the correct one it arrived the next day and is still working with no leaks. Think it was £260 in the end compared to 1k for a new one from citroen id say it was a bargain.

Easiest way to see for definate of the input seal is leaking is to remove the cover in the foot well and have a look. You can grope around through the wheel well but if its as bad as mine was the fluid is allover the the shop.

If it has a speed sensor it will be on a small mounting point by the input shaft. I belive all the racks have the mounting point with or without the sensor. Easiest acces to see is through the footwell again.
