Noticed on gentle acceleration that there is a slight flat spot where the car seems to be holding back, 1.6 hdi, its nothing alarming just a bit of hesitation, do you think a can of injector cleaner may help ?

My flat spot is better described as turbo lag, I have to reach aprox 1800 rpm before the turbo boosts the engine, it makes pulling away a very sluggish affair until the magic number is reached, is this normal for a 1.6 hdi c4, its just had the EGR replaced but it has made no difference with the delay Edited by john h

Actually now got used to it & don't notice if I change how I juggle clutch and gears, having said that if it has just started doing it on yours its possible there is a fault

Possibly the car has adapted to your driving style. You could try a battery disconnection or thrashing it for a few days to see if it adapts to a different style. I sometimes notice a car seems to accelerate a bit quicker after a service, so maybe the garage does something.

Servicing possibilites could include the fuel filter needing replacing on a diesel or the air filter needing replacing.

To be quite honest as long as it starts and runs with a good mpg figure its good enough, a lot of Citroens out there wont do any of this
