Now please forgive me as I am shore I read on here about the door keys.

My question is I will be getting a second key cut at Sainsburys tomorrow, am I right in saying I can use this key to open the doors and start and drive the car.

My original key with buttons is mine but my hubbie is key less.

No you can get a key cut that will open the doors and turn the engine over but it wont start the engine. The key needs to be coded in using a lexia diagnostic machine also you will need the code  to put into the key. If your licky itl be on a grey plastic card that came with the car if not youl have to pay the dealer for the code

I'm just a bit concerned if I loose my key, would the AA be able to get into my car if this happened?

I do have the card with the code.

The key Sainsburys provide needs to be one with a remote, not just a plain key. Without the remote part it can not be coded and include the immobiliser chip to allow the car to be started.
