coastline taxis Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 No you can get a key cut that will open the doors and turn the engine over but it wont start the engine. The key needs to be coded in using a lexia diagnostic machine also you will need the code to put into the key. If your licky itl be on a grey plastic card that came with the car if not youl have to pay the dealer for the code Quote
winnie Posted June 11, 2014 Author Posted June 11, 2014 (edited) I'm just a bit concerned if I loose my key, would the AA be able to get into my car if this happened?I do have the card with the code. Edited June 11, 2014 by winnie Quote
coastline taxis Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 if youve got the card then anyone with a lexia can code it in for you. theres members on here who will do it for you. Check under diagnostic help to see whos closest Quote
paul.h Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 The key Sainsburys provide needs to be one with a remote, not just a plain key. Without the remote part it can not be coded and include the immobiliser chip to allow the car to be started. Quote
