tony69groves Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Hi i accidently put hydrolic fluid in cooling system on my c5 2.2 hdi vtx+. I have flushed system had radiator stripped and cleaned instslled new heater matrix but not getting any heat through vents and no water through top bleed nipple. When car is running hoses go realy hard is this normalMany thanks Quote
paul.h Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Welcome to the forum. Sounds as though there is still air in the system. If you look in the Haynes manual (even though it does not cover this engine), Citroen use a funnel on the expansion tank to raise the coolant level so the air can be removed. An alternative is to apply a vacuum at the bleed nipple to suck the air out - I have used a Mityvac when changing the coolant on a C3 but you may be able to use a large syringe. Not sure about how hard the hoses should go, are they the same as before you did the work ? Quote
