EmSe Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Hello there and thank you for reading. This is a good forum. My interest is everything but also for a 2012 C3 Picasso 1.6 diesel. Currently there is no access here to the Picasso forum for me. I am searching for passenger side wing mirror instructions following a probable impact when the car was parked meaning the coloured mirror back section is missing and the two black sections of mirror housing need to be reconnected together. No Haynes manual available yet for this model. Thank you for reading. Quote
coastline taxis Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Hello and welcome to the forum. Might it not be easier to just replace the whole mirror unit Quote
paul.h Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 The coloured capping section just clips on/pulls off (8 clips) and should be available from a dealer. You may have to paint it to the same colour as your car. Spray paints (primer, colour coat, laquer coat so about £20 should do it for paint) are available from car accessory shops and you will need the paint code from the door pillar sticker which also has the tyre pressures and RPO number. EmSe Posted August 1, 2014 Author Posted August 1, 2014 Dear coastline taxis and Dear paul.h, Thank you for your replies. The replacement coloured cover is now on order for £42.18 The mirror and electrics are functioning fully. BUT the mirror housing (two black sections) is not fitted together around the top. There is no Haynes Manual for this model. So at present there are no instructions on how to refit the two pieces together. Forcing them will probably only result in a break or snap. Thank you again for your replies. Quote
paul.h Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 Citroen's own procedures do not cover this, only clipping the coloured part on/off and removing the complete mirror and glass removal. You could join the Picasso owners club and maybe a member there will have repaired a mirror. http://www.citroenpicasso.org.uk/picasso/ Quote
