Sixchannel Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 My 2010 C5 Tourer has DRL's (I can see them in the headlamp array) but they dont come 0n.According to the Internet handbook that I DL'd, I can set them in Vehicle Parameters - Lighting but the option is not there. Is there an alternative way of setting them please. If its relevant, when I put the lights to "Auto" a message comes up saying they have been "de-activated". Is that part of the same problem?cheerssixchannel Quote
Johndouglas Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 I have the same vehicle as you and mine do work. Maybe yours have been switched off by Lexia. Quote
Sixchannel Posted August 7, 2014 Author Posted August 7, 2014 Well tell her to come and switch them back on again!!! :DA Job for a Citroen specialist? Quote
Johndouglas Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 A Job for a Citroen specialist? Yes - Unless you can find someone near to you who has one. Quote
Sixchannel Posted August 8, 2014 Author Posted August 8, 2014 Thank you.We have an independent Citroen guy a few miles away who has looked after my Citroens since my 1993 1.8i petrol.I'll give him a ring. Quote
paul.h Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 If you do use them and a bulb blows they are expensive at about £40 but it looks as if they can just about be changed without removing the bumper - see this topic http://www.citroen-owners-club.co.uk/citroen/topic/20984-daytime-running-lights-bulb-replacement-and-led-option/ Quote
Sixchannel Posted August 11, 2014 Author Posted August 11, 2014 Thanks PaulMissed this reply - sorry. Are they prone to failure then?cheerssixchannel Quote
Johndouglas Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Are they prone to failure then? No more so than the other bulbs, but they get more use, being on most of the time. Quote
Sixchannel Posted August 12, 2014 Author Posted August 12, 2014 Maybe thats why the previous owner had them turned off. :mellow:Couldnt they be changed to superbright LEDs or is that a dumb idea?cheerssixchannel Quote
Johndouglas Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Couldnt they be changed to superbright LEDs or is that a dumb idea? No it's a sensible idea. In fact, I think the link that Paul has posted in Post number 6 uses LED replacement bulbs. Quote
MikeLane Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Looks like you need to take it back to the dealer or someone with a Lexia. See this link: http://www.citroen-owners-club.co.uk/citroen/topic/14421-daytime-running-lights/ Mike Quote
