Sixchannel Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 This may be the dumb question of the day - I have recently bought a 2010 C5 TOurer and it appears to have a USB socket in the armrest. Can it be used with my music memory stick (that is loaded with music mp3s) for playing through the radio or does it have another, technical purpose please?cheerssixchannel Quote

Sixchannel Posted August 10, 2014 Author Posted August 10, 2014 Hi Paul many thnaks for the quick reply.Ah, if only it had come with a Handbook! That is being addressed by the Dealer but they are waitng for Citroen to send it to them - hence the odd questions.THis new C5 Tourer is a Voyage of Discovery compared to my wonderful old Xantias. Lets hope the C5 proves to be as reliable and trustworthy as they were.cheerssixchannel Quote
Johndouglas Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Some Mk3s have a USB socket in the armrest. Others (like ours doesn't. In the top of the glove box there's a socket into which an MP3 player can be plugged. Quote
seefive Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 On the latest C5's ( inc mine) the USB is dedicated to satnav updates and can't be used for music. Yet another irritating cost cut - saves them putting a card slot on the radio. Quote
paul.h Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 The handbooks can be read/printed/saved from the service.citroen site, select documentation de bord, your language and then your car and year http://service.citroen.com/ddb/You can also see the parts diagrams as a free service on it if you register as another professional and a member of the Citroen Owners Club.
