steffan323 Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Hi all I'm new to this forum. I have a 2001 c5 hpi exclusive and yesterday after parking the car half on a pavement ( which I went up slowly) came back to the car after about an hour and the front end was in high position. The rear seems to be going up and down fine. Don't know where to start looking please help. Quote
Johndouglas Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Sounds as though the front height corrector has stuck on high. Get under the car with a can of WD40 and give the HC a good soaking. IMPORTANT. Don't get under the car until you have put axle stands under the sills. If the HC suddenly decides to move, the car can suddenly drop close to the ground. Quote
steffan323 Posted August 19, 2014 Author Posted August 19, 2014 Many thanks the problem is now sorted. Thanks again. But it now sounds like the rear trailing arm bearings need replacing ( clunking. From rear wheels) any idea how easy or difficult they are to replace??? Quote
Johndouglas Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Please to hear you've got your car level again. Regarding the rear arm bearings, have a look at this topic:- http://www.citroen-owners-club.co.uk/citroen/topic/8037-c5-rear-suspension/ Quote
paul.h Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 I have read that if the front wheels are not parked facing forward the suspension may go up and down a bit. I have moved the topic in to a subforum since outside of one they do not show after a few days and may be difficult to find. Quote
