Johndouglas Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Is your window completely closed? Anything stopping it from completely closing? Anything trapped in the door seal or damage to it? Quote
simke Posted August 23, 2014 Author Posted August 23, 2014 Hi Johndouglas! Yes, window is completly closed. There is no any demage in door. It whistling no matter the windows is closed or not. I found that mirror housing making the problem. When I put a sticking tape over the joint between the base and the movable mirror housing the whistle stops. In authorized garage don't know what to do. In official Citroen database there is a record that whistle on the passenger side is caused by vertical slat on the front window. We changed them on both sides. The problem was solved only on the right side, while on the left side the sound of whistling only changed but still persists... Quote
CXMC5 Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Hi,I had the same problem of whistling on my C5, I kept taping all the gaps that join parts on the wing mirror until the whistle stopped! At high speed, small gaps between parts can make an awful high pitch noise.Andras Quote
simke Posted August 26, 2014 Author Posted August 26, 2014 Hi Andras!Did you solve the problem systematically by changing some parts or you leave tapes on gaps? Quote
